Gale Group

The Gale Group has two new products this year, as well as several enhancements. The morning sessions will be focused on the introduction of the "London Times Digital Archive" (1785-1985) in full-text. This new database will include full searchable images and include all advertising, news articles, images, and classified ads for up to 200 years. Also in the morning session, information about Gale's new Digital Archive Program where libraries can purchase content to own will be introduced. The afternoon session will be devoted to another new Gale database: "Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center." A recent acquisition of GreenHaven Press has inspired the creation of this newest reference product. Also during the afternoon sessions, learn about Gale's recent partnership with Ingenta. New and current Infotrac subscribers of Expanded Academic ASAP and the OneFile can soon have access to full-text journals they purchase from Ingenta in these two Gale databases. This partnership allows libraries access to an additional 5300 full-text academic journals from Ingenta, and the ability to seamlessly search articles from Ingenta publications within Infotrac.
