MuseGlobal

Demonstration of MuseSearch, a product that breaks through the barriers of traditional search technologies to deliver simultaneous, multi-protocol searching to an unlimited number and type of information sources with one single query. With MuseSearch, information retrieved is of the highest quality because searches are translated into each sourceÍs own native language and protocol - whether web, Z39.50, SQL, telnet, proprietary, intranet, full-text database, image database, or any other data source. MuseSearch's advanced research environment presents results into uniform, easy-to-undertsand format, merged, de-duped and sorted using a choice of methods. MuseSearch also allows for extended linking, or LYNX, from record results simultaneously takes users to additional, related information organized by function, including material availability. MuseSearch transparently integrates within an organizationÍs existing information systems environment, and can be implemented as part of a library or information portal, an OPAC, a virtual library system or digital library system.
