Springer's presentation at SCELC vendor's day will be discussion of Springer's ebook program, and the Springer E-journals package

Springer is the world's largest STM book publisher, with more than 3,000 new titles each year.

In 2006 Springer introduced an interdisciplinary eBook Collection, currently numbering more then 15,000 eBooks online. EBooks are offered in 12 content specific subject collections. Each collection contains all books, textbooks, reference works, monographs, and book series published in the 2007 copyright year.

The discussion will include an explanation of the business model, the logic behind it and how it affects Springer as a publisher.

Springer will discuss the current status of the SCELC e-journal offer. And update members on platforms changes, Springer's Online Journal Archives, and new journal acquisitions.

Online Journal Archive: Springer is digitizing over 800 journals chronicled from Volume 1, Issue 1 in the Springer Online Journal Archives. Springer Online Journal Archives will be offered in subject area packages, with each package containing 50-180 journal titles, complete and in sequence.
